Gifts and Donations

The Fort Dodge Public Library has established two programs for people who wish to make gifts or donations to the Library. All donations made to the Library are tax deductible.
 
Gift and Memorial Book Program
 
 
The Fort Dodge Public Library has established a Gift and Memorial Book Program.  A book may be given to the Library in honor of a birthday, an anniversary, or in memory of an individual.  The donation of a book to the Library is a unique present or remembrance for an individual or a group, and will be used for many years.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM

  • Notice of the Donation
    A notice of the gift will be sent by the Library to the recipient or their family.

  • Book Plate
    A gift or memorial book plate will be placed in the book to honor the recipient.

  • Special Requests
    The Library will honor requests for books in special subject areas if the material conforms to the Library selection process.

  • Gifts of Books
    Gift Books to the Library are tax deductible.
 
W. H. Johnston Foundation Sustaining Gifts Program
 
The W. H. Johnston Foundation was established to provided financial assistance to The Fort Dodge Public Library. All donations are invested in an endowment fund and the earnings are used to provide collection development, technology, and building maintenance.
 
Donations of $1,000 or more are listed on the Sustaining Gifts donor wall in the Library. The donation levels are:

$2,500 - $9,999

Patron

$10,000 - $24,999

Builder

$25,000 - $99,999

Benefactor

$100,000 and Above
