The City of Fort Dodge, Iowa Civil Service Commission gives entrance examinations typically three times a year to applicants. Candidates who are not currently Iowa certified law enforcement officers will take a physical agility test. For those passing the physical agility test, a written Police Officer Selection Test (POST) will be given immediately afterwards.
